In his home. Reptile carpet is coming out to be replaced with tile.



Basking lamp and a Powersun 100W side by side cover his multilevel basking area. No problems with the Powersun after 10 days. His color has really popped after ditching the reptisun 5.0 that came in the kit. Powersun was recommended by a local breeder. He can't get any closer to it than 15 inches. He can bask anywhere from 96-112F surface temp. Every time I read the temp off his body it's around 98F. I use an infrared (Reptitemp).

Trying to figure his age out. He's 7+ nose to tip of tail.

I never thought a BD as a pet would be so fascinating. Glad she didn't pick the ball python or water dragon. Python struck at her and that sealed the deal.

I would guess him to be about a 6-7 weeks old. What a cutie!

WOW! That young? I guess the length to age chart I have is way off.

The chart I use has the length of four males and their averages for the male chart and the lengths and averages of for females for the female chart

Is he old enough to eat any other worms besides meal worms?

I wouldn't feed mealworms to a beardie at all.

He can eat large phoenix/calci/repti worms, baby horns, and baby silks.
