Lighting for Dragon

If I'm going to be gone overnight, is it best to leave the dragons light on for 24hrs or shut it off? He is about 5 months old and it's very hot in my room already....it's mid August and I have an attic room so the temp stays at least at 90 degrees without the light on.

Will he get overheated if I leave the light on for 24hrs and will it screw up his sleeping cycle and endanger his health?

Or if I leave it off will he get too cold and sleep too much?

He was sitting in his water dish this morning....not sure if that means he was hot last night or not.

thanks!

If it is only for one night it is better to leave it off as it will not get too cold but the risk of unsupervised overheating is dangerous

I would also consider getting a timer for your set up as it is a cheap item $5 or less and can give your dragon consistent day and night times without deviation
