Bearded Dragon licking food?

Trex is licking his yams (just mashed up sweet potatoes nothing added to them) and he's licking them and I don't know if it's normal or strange for a beardie to be doing that. In all honesty he looks ridiculous :lol:

Looks like he's enjoying it! They tend to lick pretty much everything. It helps them test their environment. They are quite curious.

:lol: I should know this by now! Every time I bring him outside he loves exploring (and licking the floor :lol: ) I'm glad that there is nothing wrong with him! Thank you for your answer!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
