Hello and welcome to the site.
I dont mean to scare you, but more than likely that is a disaster waiting to happen, and you really need to separate them as soon as you can. Especially with their size differences. You may find beardies that are missing body parts or even worse...

I agree with jiffy, as they grow older they will start to show more signs of agression.i suggest sperating them

I have to agree with the above comments. They arent ment to be with other beardies :( They love their space. Some from this forum actually have beardies who are missing tails eyes legs (one dosnt have any legs at all) toes feet. All were bit off by their tank mates. I know some say you can have 2 females in 1 viv. Thats not 100% either my females hate eachother.

Good luck!

i went through the same thing....i thought mine would be different....but there is no getting around it.
bearded dragons want their own space. without it they are competing for the same resources and it can get ugly.

If its not missing limbs or bites, its health problems... Your large tank may be big enough to bisect for two habitats but i dont think three will be favorable. Also as they grow older even seeing other dragons through their glass is unhealthy and stressful for them.

So you have time while they are young to figure out the change, but as they grow older they will get more aggressive and pick on each other. they can only be housed together as a temporary condition (as in pet stores).

I have 2 beardies right now that my husband & i bought together. They have been together since day one so they are always cuddling up together. I can't see us ever seperating them because i don't think they would make it without one another!! We have one male & one female. The male 8 inches & female 6 inches. I have never seen any signs of aggression between the 2 of them. They seem to get along wonderful!! Although we have about a 55 gal. tank so it may be big enough for them together now. But!! If we do have to split them up one day we will. For now they get along wonderfully together :)

Not to scare you hun but housing a male and female combo is equally dangerous as housing 2 males. When you house 2 of the opposite sex the chance of early breeding is very likely. If this does happen, chances are your girl will have an extremely difficult time with the eggs and you may run into severe complications and possibly death from those complications. The cuddling you see is most likely a display of dominance usually it is done under the basking spots so that the more dominant one can gain better access to the lights. Keeping them together will almost definitely hinder their growth because of the stress of them being together and the competition for food and heat and UVB.

I'm sure you wish the best for your beardies, we all wish the best for ours as well as yours so let me ask you this, why is it worth waiting until you HAVE to separate them? You may not get the chance to separate them before you find one or both mauled or even worse, dead. A 55 gal tank can be divided in half for now but just be sure to provide a basking spot on each side for each dragon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
