My "My-my(s)" Myah found a home

Shall I wag my tail and fetch that ball? No. This will not do. I think I'll sit and bask awhile, maybe all day through. Is that yarn? A funny thing. So fuzzy soft and round. Chase it? No. I will not go. There's crickets to be found! I will not sing a pretty tune. I will not bounce and hop. And if I get too tired, it's anywhere I'll plop. But please my person, mom of mine, or my daddy dear, Remember when you're gone away, I still wait right here. I love my bath, our cuddle time, you're more then just a face. Please don't ever give me to an unfamiliar place. I need you and I'll try to show how great that I can be. Even though, you may not know, if I'm he or she. Have some faith. You'll earn my trust, I swear with all my heart. It's plain to see and clear to me, here's our fresh new start.

Aw, sis, that is so sad that Myah has to go to another family, I would take her if I lived anywhere near you
even in Canada. You are keeping Mylo, correct? He is a big boy. I really wouldn't know how to part
with Vash even if it had to be possible, I put 9 years into that grumpy old man. But it is true that Annie
needs to get out and play and do things she's 7..and no 7 year old needs to stay home and do nothing.

Thank you for understanding. I've found a wonderful home for Sara. She's going to a retired lady who has a sweet little mini poodle named Edward. The two got on like old friends. I was so pleased to know that Sara would never be alone. I want that for Myah too.
I am keeping Mylo. Only because he's nocturnal and well, he doesn't really care if mom's around or not! LOL! :lol: That'll be all tho.
I'm also selling off everything I can in the home. No more clutter, no more things to dust, no more feeling guilty for leaving a sweet creature alone.
Myah deserves more, and I'm gonna find it for her :wink:

I am so sorry Holly but you are right, Annie has to come first. These little dragons take up so much time and if you don't have the time to give its best to rehome them. I know you are heartbroken over this and maybe in time you can have another. You just have to do what is right and fair for your family and for Myah. I truly believe that family comes first over anything, especially an animal. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you are making the right decision for myah.

When we move, both my husband and myself will be gone for 9-10 hours a day between work and the commute. After that, it will be dinner then a 1/2 bus ride to the YMCA for Annie's activities. We're so very pressed for time that Annie will have to do her homework on the bus there and back. Then shower and bed for Annie, house cleaning for me, then bed. I've mapped the route and the timing again and again. there's no way around it.
-Annie will be active and socialized and more importantly, a busy child has very little time to make foolish and potentially dangerous choices.
-I feel bad for loosing the pets in my life but Annie will grow up and be on her own someday. When that happens, I'd like to know that I did everything in my power to keep her on the right path. Then I will earn my animal additions back.
-It means the world to me that the people here understand. Truly, reptile people are amazing people :love5:

Well no one can be upset here, we all love animals and we also care about the families they're in and if they
don't have the time then it's good to see them get let go to another perfect family and not neglected for
the rest of their life because they're too busy. Human babies do come first, you really are doing the right
thing for Annie and Myah. I will miss my dragon niece but at least I have nephew Mylo to look out for.
Myah will thank you for it in the end to realize she is being cared for not left alone all day, being bored (not your fault, there is too much going on that only Mylo can stay).
She doesn't understand just yet, but she will when she lives her life to the fullest knowing she is being
well taken care of.

Aw holly I'm so sorry I know myah will find a wonderful new home to love her. I understand about the whole time thing. Shadow was rehomed and now we're trying with the geckos as well. It's just a tough time I guess there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Thank you! I was so worried that no one would understand. I'd never re-home Sara for a puppy, or Myah for a monitor! LOL! :lol: I just really want them to have the best. It's nice to know someone understands. Mylo will be all she wrote for a very, very long time. I'm so determined to move. Imma gonna make it work!

I took on too many I'm thinking about re-homing Bowser and Tornado...first of all
Tornado, gets up at odd hours I know she's a snail but she's never awake when I'm
awake or around to feed Bowser and I need to find a home who can take care of
Tornado, she's not dead but I have too many with a puppy adding to the mix. I can't
find the time to feed her when she's up which is usually night time. I can't just scoop
her up into a cup when she's latched onto the glass, not fair to her. So I will see if
I can map out feeding times for everyone specially for Tornado, which I am led to
believe she needs her own tank now. I just never know when she wakes and she needs
to be watched so she gets fed. Not entirely sure if I map out feeding times again...and see
where it goes like you did before making the final decision. I will make one more attempt
to get Tornado into the habit of eating if not she needs to go to someone who will see when
she wakes and feed her.

We all understand, Annie has to come first, especially if you're going to get away from the small town you don't want to live in anymore. Time constraints are a pain, but with your schedule I can fully understand rehoming Sara and now Myah. You found a great home for Sara and you'll find a great home for Myah. You're going to miss her, but it's critical that Annie have fun and be busy. You're so right, I felt the same way with Eric and as a result he grew up without getting into any trouble, he was just too busy, it really does work and is so good for the kids.

If I lived closer and had a bigger place, I'd take Myah in, but I'm too far away & have no room. So we'll all cross our fingers and hope you find a wonderful home for her. Keep us all posted!

Thank you all again. Yes Deb, of course! I think I'll ask to have this thread Locked once Myah finds a home. There's no time limit, just the right person for her. I'll start another thread in the Gecko section for Mylo. This one really is Myah's history. I'll have some time in the evenings at least before I try to move next year. I don't even know if I can, just gonna try like the devil! I also still want to help others here as much as I can. Myah taught me a lot and we all have questions sometimes.
-I actually tried something new with Mylo tonight. There was 1 small super in the container and it caught my eye because it had just shed. I thought I'd give it a try with Mylo and Holy cow! :shock: He gobbled that up like manna from heaven! :lol: I don't know if it was the size, color or if it just moved a little different but wow! I think I'll be getting more of those! I also really like how the shells aren't as hard :wink:
