My New Addition To The Family(Updated Pic's 12/12)

I have a new addition to the family he was delivered around 1:00 p.m. yesterday.
Before I show him to everyone......
let me first say, "thank-you DiAnn(Irwin's Mom) I love him he is such a character."

Here he is just minutes after his arrival checking out his new home.
Notice that he has no stress marks, what a sweetie. :love5: :love5: :love5:





You can't really see his color because he is getting ready for a shed.
This was the best color pic I could get with my old camera.



He doesn't seem to be very stressed he is eating pretty darn good already and loves to be held.
When I put my hand into his viv he will jump on it.
I can tell that DiAnn hand feeds her babies. :wink:

Awh, he is so cute Barbara! How sweet, I love the picture of him looking out the window. Nice choice too, Irwin's Mom has some beautiful breeders. His color is going to be fantastic! Congratulations on your new addition, he is lucky to go to such a great home.

I wish my new little guy was as mellow & trusting. After two weeks, he still shows stress marks often and no matter how many times I tell him I'm not going to hurt him, he still thinks I'm going to eat him :dontknow:

Thanks DiAnn for telling me when his birthday is you saved me from having to ask.
Not to worry he will definately be spoiled!
I gave him a bath as soon as he came out of the package and then he ate about 6
silkworms and some of his salad. This morning he ate about 5 silkworms and 10 roaches.
And he finished his salad an I had to refill it. :lol:
He's a little piglet!
Everytime someone walks into the room he is in he gives us the eye and runs over
to us as if to be asking to be held. I can not put my hand in his viv without him jumping on it.
He has already stole the hearts of the whole family in just 24 hours.

Be patient and talk to him alot.
Try to get him to eat from your hand instead of his dish for now.
My grandmother use to say, "the only way to a mans heart is thru his stomach." :laughing6: :headbang:
He will come around.
I just got really lucky! It shows how good of care that DiAnn gives her babies.

He is JUST adorable and looks so happy & healthy. You can tell by his eyes that he's taking everything in. He doesn't look stressed at all. He has real nice fat stores and a nice build for only 9 wks old. You sure can tell that he has been well cared for. He's gonna love his new family. :wink:

I'm really impressed, he went from Texas to Tennesee to California an came out of the box wanting to eat.
He didn't seem to be stressed at all. Even after the shaking the delivery guy gave him. I mean that when they came to deliver him the delivery guy started shaking the box. My youngest son an I ran out I was yelling at the delivery guy, "DON"T SHAKE THE BABY!" Thank God DiAnn had padded the box really good.

He is a real sweetheart of a baby!

ugh.. i hate it when people do that..

like a box labeled live insects, they shake it.. obviously if it was a live animal, shaking it will only agitate and harm it... maybe if its packaged saying 'explosives' they wont shake so eagerly..

Very sweet, Barbara, he looks very healthy and happy. Will you be using him for breeding when he's older?

I wonder if he realizes how fortunate he is to be in your family, picked a name yet?

oh, how adorable :love10: ! it's so great that even after the long trip he was stress free and ready to eat. sound like he has a long pampered life ahead of him :mrgreen: . i can't believe he ate so much on his first day with you. the fact that he'll jump right onto your hand is just the greatest. i'm still working on that with my little one :roll: . he must trust you a great deal!

the pics are great, i can't wait to see the fresh colors after the shed :wink: .

p.s. about the box shaking...
