I'd like to introduce some variety to Pascal's insect diet.
He's currently on crickets. Roach feeders are illegal to keep where I live. My current living situation does not allow me to receive live feeders via mail, so phoenix worms are also out (unless someone knows a Southern Ontario local breeder). That leaves worm types.
Pascal is approx. 15" long with a roughly 7/8" space between the eyes. When is it safe to start him on occasional feeder worms, and what type would be best for the young age? (We anticipate him growing to ~24" as he's less than 5 months old.)
Yeah silks and small hornworms are a good option. I wouldn't get too many of them at once, especially hornworms because they grow quickly. The Worm Lady has black soldier fly larvae http://thewormlady.ca/black-soldier-fly-larvae.php Their shop is over by Windsor so it should be pretty easy shipping.
