Wax worms are not a good staple because, as the other poster said, they are too fatty. They have almost no nutrition in them and are a poor source of calcium also, so really there is no positive.
Even once a week, unless your dragon is underweight or gravid, is too much. If you have a normal, healthy bearded dragon, you don't need to waste money on wax worms at all.
You can try the Phoenix/Reptiworms.. They are a great staple and don't require dusting b/c they have the right about of calcium already in them.. www.reptiworms.com or www.phoenixworms.com They are both basically the same worm just different names and breeders..
Breeding reptiworms/phoenix worms is a difficult task and I wouldn't recommend it because they are flies and their larvae is what the beardies are eating. It takes a lot of time and is probably not worth it for just one bearded dragon. If you want to breed I would say breed supers, dubia or crix.
k i will try but my parent think that crix stink to much, they think the beetles for the supers will infest the house and the dubia are like cockroaches its terrible they hate bugs thats why i thought of wax worms they dont stink and they have months :x
