I am new here and in general new in the hobby of lizards. I wanted to ask something about my bearded dragons. To start with, here is the picture of the habitat I created for them:
So my question is:
On the left side (which is my heat basking spot - although I haven't raised it as much as it is needed yet) I have 85F right now (in the middle of the tank in height, where you see the female dragon resting). On the right side which is my cool spot (I should substitute the two due to heights, right?) I have at around 75F where the female dragon is currently sitting). So my question is, why isn't she moving to the hotter spot? Any thoughts?
RIght now, the middle of the hot side of the tank is at 90F so easily a bit higher will be 100+. I will just put the heat light on the side of the tall log or go buy something to raise the other side too. As for UVB I have the Reptile UVB 150 of ExoTerra (13W)
I had to make a basking spot for mine because the light was too cold closer to the bottom. It works great and she loves her basking spot . I would get rid of that UVB it can cause problems. I would get reptisun 10.0 tube bulb and mount it inside the tank using command strips. I can send pics if you want to see how

sorry but i still not understand. What kind of eye problems and why? Also, it was the strongest I have seen in 2 big petstores, how can it not be enough?
Hi there are links on here bout why coil are bad. There was one on here a month or so about these two beardies had the coil and were blind from it. So please change it for their sake.
I did my research and i will change it. Now i am confused on which ones are the proper ones. You said tubes but i find two results for tubes. Which ones are they!? Pic please!!
Try looking for the Reptisun 10.0 bulb- I ordered mine brand new off of Amazon... and in my 125 gallon tank I have a mercury vapor bulb which is a basking and uvb bulb in one light. Mine is a solarglo- but those are mostly for larger tanks.
what size should I buy? Also, do I have to buy a fixture from a pet store or I can find something cheaper in walmart etc? Thirdly, do i have to mount it inside or can I put it on top as everything else?
What size is your tank? I'd say a 24" bulb would be good, Ihave one of those for my youngest beardie's 20 gallon tank (I have three dragons- lol). You can buy a fixture from Walmart, we just bought one from Lowe's yesterday! And none of mine are mounted on the Iinside tho some do... just make sure tthere's nothing (like screen, glass, or plastic) between the light and your dragon. It will interfere with the uvb rays

Our newest tank is 75 gallons and that's what we bought our 24" fixture for so that should work fine. Yes you can tell them that and they should be able to help you. I've read that the screens with mesh filter out more uvb than the ones with larger holes at the top.
