Newbie here only got our Beardie orphan 3 days ago...here’s my viv...4foot 50ish gallon, needs a bit of work to tidy up cables etc but pretty happy with it
Hi my substrate is Pro Rep Leo Life - so far Beardie has no interest in investing anything so fingers crossed- will keep an eye on this but particles are quite large and not as loose as actual sand
So this isn't a beardie enclosure but I'm planning something of about this level of work for my rankins dragon. Plus I'm proud how this one turned out with a removable hot and humid hide just in case. Of coarse my beardies will have lights and no humid hide and I don't think I will go with the lugarti reptile bedding . most likely landscaping rocks and stones for the Rankins (aka my teacup beardie lol like a teacup poodle ) . the first three pics ,if I did this right , are the planning. the 4th is the actual setup and the 5th is my beardies tank atm waiting for official set up and hopefully front opening tank he seems so scared of the top opening
Of coarse it has a few more plants now than just after finishing .
Now I'm itching to get him an at least realistic viv if not bioactive .
We decided to get a dragon, so I spent a few days building a vivarium. The tank is 54”x20”x20”. The decor can be taken out in 4 pieces and it can be washed with a hose when soiled.
Thanks
This enclosure is made of the great stuff brand expanding foam pond and stone version . while expanding I covered it in sand. Then once cured I brushed off most extra sand and used gorilla wood glue to really make sure I had no loose particles to cause impaction. Although it turned out nice and my dragon loves it I wouldn't do it this way again.
Lol last one he is staring into the vast fake landscape lol.
