Hey guys, I know you were all telling me about the sand. So I just got some nice tile for only 8 bucks!
looks good, keeps crickets at bay and easy to clean.
my only question for you all.. see the space at the back wall at the bottom under the exoterra rock wall. I put the space there of about 5-6 inches so the crickets cant climb up. what could I put there to make it looks better yet keep crickets down? hmmmm
built this viv out of 2 speakers that i gutted turned sideways and mounted together. It has hinged doors that swing up vents on each side and tile in it. Took only 3 days.
I am awed by all of these absolutely amazing vivariums! Thank you so much for this thread. I just spent like 3 hours looking through all of the pictures and have so many ideas now.. This is great!

This is an absolute genious idea! I have been looking for a interesting way to make a custom viv. Never wouldve thought of speakers! I always see 55" old box tvs and thought about gutting one and making a huge double decker viv out of it, but I dont have the room for it yet.
Here is a viv we built our new baby from an old piece of furniture, styrofoam, and grout.
Still needs a bit of decorating but the hard part is finished.
