I have recently got a beaded dragon and am trying to set his vivarium up as well as i can. Its 39" x 19" & height 15". At the moment uvb light is sitting on the top mesh part of the viv so is 16" from the very bottom and about 13" from highest basking spot. Is this too high? Im worrying hes not getting any of the uvb
I ordered an arcadia proT5 12% 24W which at 22" long would have covered almost 2/3rds of the viv but was sent the next one up by mistake. It is 34" long so covers the length of the viv except for a tiny area at each side. I have read that this isnt good as needs to have none at cool side. Should i return it and get original one i ordered? I have put it diagonally at the moment to try and help the situation. Hes been running around the viv this evening and trying to climb the back wall and the ivy plant. Not sure if this is him just settling and becoming more curious or trying to get higher for the uvb. Would like to get the hammock things maybe and some other bits to make the viv more exciting. First time beardie owner so advice welcome
