Using pine for tank frame

Hello. I am currently building a custom tank thats being made out of plywood. I want to make a frame for it and most hardware stores have pine 2x4's. Would that be safe if it were sealed or should we try finding another wood to use?

If you seal it it's fine. You should be sealing your ply too.
