I took one of the rescues from this thread quite a long time ago viewtopic.php?f=3&t=159417

We have dubbed her "Georgette" and though we are unsure of her parentage, she definitely appears to be a short-snout. She has been very quiet and reserved from the beginning and we had struggled with issues with feeding. Now, nearly 2 years later, she eats like a fiend. She loves to snuggle! She's smaller than your average bearded dragon, weighing in at barely 400g and only about 18" in length but I believe this is due to poor care when she was a baby and she just never recovered from it.

Her favorite foods are turnip greens, mustard greens and dubia roaches.

She seems to like Fox news as much as I do! ;) Or maybe she just likes our cuddle time.

Here she is with my male when I first got her:

Here are my two favorite recent pics of her:

Hi there....looks like she got a great home with you ! Looks bright eyed + healthy, and I can see the stubby snout. :) As far as her weight + length, that is totally within the normal range of a healthy beardie. Although some beardies grow to 20 - 22, it's no different than with humans because there is variety in their size. A man that is 5 ft.6 inches is no less healthy than one who is a foot taller, and just like with humans, other than being anorexic or extremely thin, being heavier doesn't make us or our pets healthier, but just the opposite. An 18" beardie should be right around your girl's weight. At any rate, great job !

Thanks that makes me feel better. My other beardeds are just soo much bigger I worried about her. But with the shortsnout gene, I suppose it makes sense for her to be an inch or two smaller than average.

Thanks for the encouragement, she has been a very rewarding pet!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
