too much D3?

I thought I posted this earlier, but I can't find it now...

I understand that MVB produces enough D3 that I need to use calcium WITHOUT D3.
I got my MVB in the mail today, but haven't been able to find calcium WITHOUT D3 in stores. I ordered some offline and should be here soon. Here lies my problem... Today my cat knocked off my reptisun 10.0 and it broke. The only bulb that I have now is the one that came in the fixture... the esu slimline. Would it be ok for a couple days to use my calcium WITH D3 if I use it less often until my new calcium WITHOUT arrives?

Right now I have my MVB set-up. I hear that the heat emissions drop after 24 hours. At 12" away my temp at my basking spot is 102 - which is low for my tank. I'd hate to see it get any lower. Any ideas? I have a 55g tank and a 100w PowerSun. The cool side is 81 without another added heat source. I also have a 48" fluorescent bulb - regular bulb no uvb given off - for extra light.

The only reason that the cool temp is 80, is because we use a wood stove to heat our house and the dragons enclosure is in the same room, which is usually about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. When we turn that off, the temp (both basking/ambient/cool) would most likely drop. I could really use some good advice on how to remedy this. I have a wire lid that keeps in heat.

You will be fine without the UVB light FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS as long as your BD is getting D3 suplimented with the calcium... Just to clarify one thing, D3 is not emmited by the UVB bulb, Your BD's body produces D3 while basking to help process the calcium.

For your temps it might help to put a fixture above the middle of the tank with a ceramic heat bulb that can be used 24/7 This will boost your ambient temps, bringing up your cool side a touch (as well as keep them up at night when your furnace goes off) and it wil also boost your basking temps.

If tight for cash a regular household bulb with work during the day.

That's what I'm doing right now. diamc PM'd me and I think I am going to exchange my bulb for the T-rex. It gives off more heat. I ordered my PowerSun from Petmoutain and didn't see that they had the t-rex. Thank you for your suggestions!
