I was feeding my year old lizard, Dobby, but when I went and grabbed some roaches from the container, I accidentally grabbed a dead one without its head from the bottom. When I looked at it, tiny little white worms started crawling out. I thought it was molting, but then more and more came out

I panicked and took out the dish from the tank, afraid they would hurt my lizard. They were only a cm long and were only in the dead roaches. I'm assuming it was just some small fly maggot? I don't know though! I just want the best for my lizard friend.

Thanks!

It could be fruit fly larvae. They aren't harmful but it's probably best to get rid of them since they can cause an annoying infestation if they hatch.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
