Hello, I separated my super 2 weeks ago and they are starting to turn into pupae. Once they will turn into beatles can I put then all together in a separate container?
Is bran a good substrate? How long before they they will lay eggs.
Thanks
yes, once they turn to beetles you can put them all together in one container
bran is fine...but i house my on a wheat bran, oatmeal, fishfood mix for my MEALIES...for more of a gutload
in about seven to fourteen days the beetles will lay their eggs
2 weeks after this, all beetles should be removed to keep them from eating the baby worms and any remaining eggs
They also like chicken mash or cornmeal they will devour it and grow quickly.
Just in case anyone hasn't seen this thread in feeding about supers there is a lot of good info there too. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=85334&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=60
