Well, it is not real normal for them to lay eggs sporatically like that. You definitely need to watch her behavior very closely. I am sorry you can't get her to the vet until next week.
Make sure she is comfortable & just keep track of her weight carefully too. How do her fatpads look right now?
So one egg was totally collapsed? I am just hoping that none have burst inside of her. Her stools, do they look normal, or how often has she had a stool? What about her urates?

Hi there,
I think Dex is trying to give me a heart attack
I dont actually have any working scales, but i will be sure to buy some to keep an eye on her weight. Her fatpads on her head were slowly getting better, but they seem depleted again. Im bathing her twice a day and feeding her babyfood.
Ive ordered some calc for her, but I dont think it can wait, so Im going to go on a drive to a pet store out of town. Apparently they are "reptile friendly"
If I manage to ger her calypso could you recommend a dosage for me?
When i say collapsed I mean it looked like a half deflated balloon rather than being punctured in anyway. It was smaller then the 'healthy' eggs.
Stool wise a day or so after she laid she started having bowel movements again. They were small, but had normal white urates. No visable signs of change in her poop. But I will be asking the vet to do a faecal.
I found when I came home that she had passed a pinkish 'poop' again, which if id seen i wouldve stayed in to watch her
UPDATE:
I have calypso dust!!
And even better is that they are due to get a shipment of CritticalCare Formula in early next week. The guy was lovely and said he'd call me when he got it in.
He also said something which half of me really wants to believe, but the other half of me is saying "every reptile store owner youve met has been an ignorant fool"
He said that his female always lays 20-25 eggs and then a few days later she lays 2-5 and then she returns back to eating.
I so desperately want to believe this is the case with Dex too.
Anyway.
I have the calypso dust and more stashes of babyfood. How much should I mix into her food? I can usually get around 7-10mls into her every sitting.
Or do I mix some into water and give it to her in a dropper?
Hi I've been following your saga and here's my two cents: Boga laid for the first time this year. She is 3. Her eggs were solid rubber like (search Boga) which must have been retained from the previous year, then a few weeks later laid some normal eggs and then a few days after that she laid a few more. She did get pretty skinny but recovered just fine. Here's hoping for a full recovery for your baby also.

I would just put a pinch in the jar and mix it well. You could also try mixing the baby food with a little water so you can use the dropper to feed her that.
That's the reason she wasn't eating, she was still retaining eggs. You may want to try to get an xray on her to see if there are more.
She laid again and that's also the reason her fat pads depleted again. If she has no more eggs inside of her you should see some improvement with her appetite. And her fat pads should start to slowly return. It took my Sophie a few months to get them back.
But an xray at this point would be great. Good luck.
Hi there,
Thanks for those words of reassurance whiskersmom.
I found an exotic specialist vet, but he is not due back at work until next sunday.
This gives me a good time frame as I'll have a week to see if she is getting her appetite back so I'll wont be fobbed off by the vet by giving me a "we'll wait and see" type answer.
She really did seem to pick up after her calcium dose.
She wasnt doing flips or anything but she was pottering around a little more rather than just flopping in basking mode, so there is hope!
Im going to give her Calc 5 times a week and vits twice a week as recommended on here.
Pinkie mouse wise, Ive heard bad things about feeding them to dragons. Am I missinformed?
Thank you for posting that Whiskersmom. You're right they are very obvious. I feel a little silly now!
NO, never feel silly! I didn't have a clue Sophie was gravid until my vet showed me those xrays and she was pretty much having the same symptoms as your little girl. Now, I've been through it 7 times in 2 years and it's still just as scary. The two things my vet said that were super important was the calcium and the hydration, which I think you are taking care of. Just finding out if there's more eggs is on that list too!
Good luck.
Great that she is doing a little bit better now. I totally agree, the calcium & hydration are very crucial to their health with the laying.
Keep us posted on her.
They are generally considered good when it comes to putting back weight on a female that has just layed. They are generally considered bad idea for males or non laying females. Some impaction risk and high fat.
