Well, his 2nd try at feeding today was a bust -- but the 3rd feeding (multiple feedings because of the small amounts he'll take) got about 2cc's into him plus a little water... all was good for about 1 hour, but he just started throwing up again. He was throwing up so violently that he had diahrrea at the same time. This poor little guy, he looked so much better earlier today, all fired up with nice colors, and now looking all miserable with a pitiful look in his eyes like "mommy, why don't I feel good" -- I'm just glad I was there to grab him when he started throwing up, he is sooo violent with it, and his head was right there beside a rock, he would have knocked himself silly if he hit his rock.
Dawn, I'm so sorry...Sounds like 2 steps forward, 1 step back...Has the vet ever seen him, do they have any thoughts or ideas that might help? If you need anything at all, let me know. I'm saying beardie prayers for Quasi to be healed!! Hang in there blondie! ((((((SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE)))))
Oh gosh Dawn, I'm so sorry that the little guy isn't feeling well. I will keep all of you in my prayers and Spike sends his 'luv' your way too. Hang in there. You're a great mom!
My heart is breaking for little Quasi, I read your original post about him, Dawn, what a love.............Quasi couldn't have better parents, your both so devoted, and I know he feels your love and care........prayers continue.
I got a teary eyes after reading original post about Quasi. He is so adorable, I really, really hope it's not anything serious.
Quasi is in my prayers and will continue to be. He's a lil' fighter.
He had a tough life, I hope he gets better, so he can continue to enjoy his bugs and veggies with you.
You are a wonderful person, helping him like this.
Hey Quasi, keep fighting!! We are all praying for you and thinking about you constantly. Don't give up! We love you!!
Dawn, I am so sorry to hear about Quasi. He is so adorable and such a cutie! You are doing an amazing job with him! I will be thinking about you, Quasi, and your family.
Poor little Quasi, he's trying SO hard to get better. How is he doing today? We are all thinking about all of you and trying to help give Quasi strength to get through this. I know these loooooong nights are very difficult.
He's struggling to eat today, we have not gotten much into him. We are still staying right with him, although he has not thrown up since last night. He is still trying to get around his viv, my little Mr. Independent. He did give us a tiny poo this morning, they are soft because of the applesauce we're adding to the CC, but at least we know his system is still working.
We just weighed him, and he's only lost 5 grams (323 the other day, 318 today) -- he looks to me like he's getting skinny, so I was very relieved that he only lost 5 grams. He's always felt a little "squishy" for lack of a better term, you have to handle him differently because of his spinal deformity, its kinda like a squishy beanbag that wants to get away from you.
