im the only one in my family who knows alot about beardies.My dad just set up my guys new enclosure and its amazing but the light is a coil which is highly frowned upon and is generally bad for my beardie but im just a nine year old and i dont know hot to explain to my dad how we need to spend more money on the proper uvb light dome and light can somebody please send me amazon links for uvb light domes that are big because we just got the actual uvb light so to sum it all up can you recommend me big uvb light domes and coach me on how to take care of my guy in terms of lighting thank you! bye

I have a coil lamp and someone told me it’s bad but one of my family members is actually a vet and they told me that it’s good and has no problem and I have even asked my reptile center and they are different in different countries I use a coil lamp and my bearded dragon is happy and healthy

Not all coils are bad but even the good ones aren't as good as a good linear bulb. So yes it's true you can use a coil and still have a healthy dragon, you just have to make sure you have it set up properly and are using a good bulb.

Let us know what bulb you're using, the brand and wattage and where it's placed. It can't be above a screen. They just aren't strong enough to be used above a screen.
