He is! He spends all morning glass dancing so I take him out to explore, what does he do? Runs to the door and glass dances some more! I tried to explain that it was too cold to go outside and that he had the rest of the house to run around in but he sat there for at least 30 minutes. I finally had to put him back in his viv because he was so cold! The little booger!
Aww, I really enjoyed reading through your thread, and most of all looking at the pictures. Hes such a cute guy, and he has an awesome personality! I hope there are more photos to come! I hope my little guy will grow up to be as healthy as my female and Toa!
Hey everybody! So Toa has been super active as of late, but not really eating. I've been giving him squash baby food with some calcium. He was starting to look skinny and it has been at least a month since he has eaten any feeders, it's hard to tell with the greens because he likes to spread them all over his tank and hide them under his slate tile. I fear I have created a monster... hopefully he will start to eat on his own soon. It's practically summer here in So. Cal.!
Since it has been so nice out he has been begging quite loudly to get out so I try to take him outside a lot on the weekends and to the farmers market on Saturdays. He's almost a celebrity there!
He has also taken to eating stuff off the floor, white stuff in particular... He actually ate a piece of rawhide the other day. I called the vet and they said as long as he doesn't show any signs of being plugged up he should be fine. This was Saturday and I haven't noticed any odd behavior, so fingers crossed!
On Monday we were sitting outside enjoying the weather when a bird flew overhead. Naturally Toa freaks and jumps off the little brick wall...
Right into the flowers...
I had to pull him back a little and stretch to grab him. I am so glad his leash was on! Who knows how far he would have gone!
Here he is posing right before the 'incident'
I got a lens to attach to my phone to do macro shot so of course I tested it on one of my favorite subjects:
Here is his parietal eye
He has also taken to running back and forth across the couch, end table, and love seat in my living room (since he started trying to eat everything on the floor it is now off limits). He went back and forth about a dozen times the other day. He likes to stop and say hi to his buddy Coconut.
I'm sure he would go up there if he could.
He likes to stop and pose too
Such a cute face!
He even did a bit of a head bob. Such a tough guy!
I admit, my heart did skip a beat when he first did it. Luckily I was able to follow the leash to see him. Surprisingly good camoflage in the green bushes.
So excited! Toa finally ate some feeders!! He had 46 reptiworms and flies (waste not want not) and 4 superworms! Finally! It's been months since he ate any live feeders. So relieved!
He is also finally shedding again. He gave me a bit of a startle the other day. Thought he broke his tail!
Then I noticed he was just shedding.
I'm going to have to go stock up on feeders again!
And just when I am a proud mommy! I decided to do a little clean up before his bed time. I am vacuuming up some random bits of bug and collard greens, I lift up his slate tile (it's at a slight incline up to his feeding bowl) and this is what I'm greeted with …
