awwww thank you..i just love to paint and will whenever i can...right now weather is not condusive to painting but I am gonna finish this today come toads or frogs.
Emily's background finally completed. I know there are major color differences and that the hibiscus isnt on both canvases. There is a reason for this. I did this on purpose..if ever i wanna change her viv, I can take the paintings from behind it and hang them in my beach themed bathroom to be 2 separate paintings. I thought about this so wanted to do it this way..I also know the beaches dont match up and its ok..its two separate paintings.
So here is Emily's background completed:
Oh I love it!!!! :love5: It is adorable! Your painting is really good! You are such a talented gal! Yea Hemi can not see this one The only thing you little girl is missing is a cabana boy! Hee hee!
Tonja, your paintings are awesome! Those turned out so wonderful...Emily's viv turned out so cool, all our beardies will be jealous...lol.
You really have a talent for painting, great job!
I bet she likes it! Gizmo loves to get out of his viv and sit on the back of the couch and watch out the window...He loves to see what is going on outside! So I would be willing to bet that they probably get bored with their backgrounds.
What type of board do you paint on just out of curiosity? With being off of work for awhile, I need something to do with my time...I might take a shot at trying to paint some type of background for Giz's viv. Is there a certain type of paint that is good to use?
You are an inspiration!
If I actually try to paint, I will post pics..as long as they aren't too bad, lol.
I use canvas, prime it with liquid white and paint on it wet with oils and build up on wet oils..wet on wet technique is what its called. Its so easy and is forgiving if you mess up being wet.
It can get pricey yes..brushes, canvas, primers, paint, turpentine, paint thinners..brush cleaners..its all expensive..and a very expensive hobby if you keep it up. To do one painting I probably spend about 75,00 on supplies since paint doesnt go a long way when you paint a lot like I do.
Oh, wow! Well, I still want to try...I will have to get my hubby to take me to the craft store so I can look around and see...
Thanks for answering my questions!!
