I was told by a vet that many common parasites will become "inactive" after a stool is older than 15 mins so using a brought in stool can miss many common parasites and if it got/gets heated it can cause a false negative. He told me it's most accurate if the stool sample is "coaxed" and collected directly from the lizard.
Neither were sick.
I just got one beardie on Saturday off craigslist and I wanted to make sure he was healthy. Thats all. I am still looking for a low cost vet but I have gotten input on mail in fecal tests.
