M muzikfreakah Juvie Member Apr 13, 2011 #1 She hasn't been mated. I have read before that sometimes they lay eggs even with out being mated? Could this be happening to her? Should I then put a laying box? If so, is a laying box with cocopeat ok? I touch her belly and couldn't feel any eggs though. Or maybe she is showing signs that she is ready for mating? Gail BD.org Addict Apr 13, 2011 #2 If she is digging daily then a lay box would be a good idea. You can use a kitty litter box filled with what ever damp substrate you want to use. Coco coir or peat would be ok, most people mix in some sand so its more stable.
