What a sweet little morning I have had!! I woke up to the tinest little poop EVER (like the size of 2 small peas)... I said awwwwww.... (to poop!!! )
I then picked my whittle guy up and placed it in its feeding cage (a small rubbermaid for now) Baby ate about 6 crickets and then seemed no longer interested... I HOPE THATS OKAY as I've heard that they normally eat 30!! anyways... I put baby in my hand and misted her/him... Baby then licked my hand!! ... After allowing it to bask for awhile (hour) I placed it outside in the tupperware container to get some sun!! Played with it too!! Little one ALWAYS backs up on my hand and looks straight at me when I pick it up!!! Also waves and wags its tail (I think its shedding) anyways guys... I AM IN BEARDIE HEAVEN!! I only wish I could have had Lucy from a baby now ... But I truly feel that I deserve this baby!!!! I am hoping one of you has a baby this tiny!! Maybe we can share stories together?! I DO have a few questions just cause I am a silly, paranoid person!! Thanks in advance!!...
1) should I try to feed Baby again later (crikets), or should I give a few more days of settling with just once a day trying? I am going to offer some greens, but so far... no good!!
2) how often do I want to handle it? S/he seems okay with it but how much is too much? Stress is not something I wish in inflict...
3) misting... how often?
4)
bathing? when? how old?
5) how much sun does my baby need a day (or a week?) to get the UVB its not receiving (megaray hasnt come yet...??) ~ THIS IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT QUESTION!! I think Lucys biggest trouble was the lack of UVB that her owners never gave her...
6) do hatchlings move much? this little one doesnt too much unless its trying to get a cricket or get from point A to point B... Could it just be relocation stress?
7) lastly... from the pics... does it look like a healthy babe? I looked it over very carefully when picking it... I just thought I could ask here (mind you, I know its only a pic)
THANK YOU!!
I am going to re read the care sheets after this post to be sure I havnt missed anything crucial!!
