Firstly black beards do not mean that your ittle one is a boy. Both males and females
blackbeard. I'll see if i can find the link to the sexing article for you.
If you dont have a hide this could be the cause of the behaviour. Most beardies like to be able to 'retreat' into a hide.
Id suggest buying or making him one and seeing if the behaviour settles down.
Buying a sturdy one is better in the long run, but for the short term you can make him one.
Here is a picture of the make-shift one Ive made Dexter whilst i finish building her one from wood.
Its just a large shoebox with a door cut in. Ive put a section of towel inside because Dex enjoys soft materials.
Just pop her inside when you make it and you'll soon figure out if she wants one over the next couple of days if she continues to visit her hide.
