looking for beardie babysitter in Boulder, CO

Hi beardie community! I am trying to go home for thanksgiving since my grandma is getting older <3 and I was wondering if anyone plans to be in the Boulder area that week, I could really use some help with lizard-sitting. I may get my roommates to help out some but I'm sure they'll be going home at some point too. Please let me know if you're in Boulder this November the 20th-23rd and/or 25th-28th! Or message me if you're around and willing any of those dates! I would pay of course my beard is 11 month old with no health issues, very friendly boy and doesn't bite.

Hi there, I'm not a available as beardie sittter but I did want to say that any sub adult or adult dragon will be fine left alone for 3-4 days. Just feed him well the day before you leave and put a large bowl of greens on the cool side of the viv and set your lights on a timer. Your dragon would have no problem at all.

I actually found people that will feed him every day I thought adults shouldn't go more than a day without food? Also I never leave salad in his tank for more then30 minutes because it wilts and he will still eat it after its gone bad.

Many people, myself and including the mods. here, only feed insects to their adult beardies 2-3 times a week. It's not uncommon for beardies in captivity to be over fed and even those that are average weight or even on the lean side have no hardship at all to go without food for 3-4 days. Leaving greens in the tank, they don't spoil. They just get crispy and many a beardie actually like them that way. Good that you found a willing sitter though !

right, i know about not feeding insects every day but i haven't quite adjusted yet, they grow up so fast
