29 September - = Day 105 in the NSW DELTA WAVE . VERY BAD DAY in NSW & Victoria & ACT with another 22 deaths overall. Highest daily covid death toll in Australia since the peak of the Melbourne 2nd Wave. Deaths NSW Non-Metro Delta deaths were located in 1 from Batemans' Bay LGA (in SNSW LHD = Batemans first of the entire pandemic 1 from Lake Macquarie LGA and 1 from Newcastle LGA ( in HNE LHD ) 1 from Dubbo LGA ( in WNSW LHD ). Australia recorded 1839 new Delta cases overnight & 22 people died from Delta in AU overnight. Today Victoria had more new local Delta cases than NSW , ie Victoria had 950 new local delta cases overnight , NSW had 863 (again). There are WELL BASED fears nationwide that the hospital systems in NSW and Victoria are close to being overwhelmed already with Delta admissions and that ICU's are in NSW & Vic are close to capacity. Add now the vax mandates in NSW and Vic and yes some clinicians and nursing staff are falling foul of this and likely to end up stood down til they are fully vaxxed , causing reduced capacity in hospitals and ICUs because each bed requires a MINIMUM staffing level. Currently Hospitalization Snapshots zero covid cases in SA , WA and Tas NSW recorded 863 local cases , bringing NSW's total to 56373 in 105 days .
