Is this something to worry about?

I just noticed this last week. I had him to the vet and vet looked at it and gave me betadine to use if it spreads. My question is does it look like yellow fungus or is it that he’s gonna shed? Should I be worried? Sorry he is my first and I worry about everything

I don't see anything concerning there. I wouldn't use the betadine at all.

It's definitely not yellow fungus. It's either staining (poo) or patches of scales getting ready to shed.

Thank you so much. I was gonna start crying. How long will it take for the scales to shed?

If he is an adult, it could be a long time, younger growing dragons it will be quicker. Either way, it's nothing to worry about.

Thank you again. I believe he is almost a year old if not a year already. I got him august 28,2021 and I’ve had him
For almost 11 months. So I’m guessing he is a year old? Got him at petco This is a pic when we first got him

It's common to worry But, YF is pretty rare, and unfortunately, due to it's name, makes most people think any yellow pigment is yellow fungus

Very very true haha had me freaking out.
