Roja is small for her age at just under 10 inches.. She seems very bored of crickets and we got some small and medium sized superworms the other day and started chopping off the heads and she is CRAZY about them! I tried to research to see if they are okay for her, they were recommended as an alternative to mealworms and I was told they have less of an exoskeleton.
At less then 16" the beardie's intestinal track may not be completely straightened out. There is a serious risk of impaction that comes with feeding supers to dragons whom are not ready. Also, as was accurately stated, no need to cut off the heads.

Yes there a lots of other options besides crickets. Phoenix/Repti/Calci - worms (larva of the black soldier fly), Silkworms, Hornworms, various tropical roach species just to name a few.
