Lilly is my 2 month old beardie and I notice that sometimes when I pick her up from sunning shes like black on her belly and beard. When I hold her its white, can someone tell me what that is.

All white means they are happy, warm enough and relaxed.
The dark marks on her belly and beard are stress marks, I see them on my beardie in the morning before the lights come on (meaning they are cold). Otherwise it means they are either unhappy with something, uncomfortable, stressed or bothered.
Her lighting is fine and her uvb is correct. She only gets that way when my boyfriend takes her out on the porch, they hang out together and she climbs the screen and watches cars people birds and stuff and when we bring her in the house shes black. So she doesn't like the screen? I though she would because its always warm and she can get real uv rays
My baby girl, Rosie, three months old, does the same thing. I, too, have noticed that they vanish when I hold her or talk sweetly to her. Anyone who says that beardies do not show emotion never really bonded to theirs, I think. What do they call it when you come into the room and they start dancing from one foot to the other?
If I am on the computer and Frankie is basking in his viv, I can call his name across the room and talk to him and he immediately gets excited and responds back to me in several ways. Ahh..beardies.
