Everything that I did is fixed mount, all wiring attachments are clamped per code. I have wall plugs for the two electrical circuits mounted in a junction box that feeds the circuits. The strain relief for the the outlet cords is mounted on the feed junction box.
One circuit is on a timer, the other is on a thermostat.
following US electrical standards, green is your ground wire. Permanent install metal fixtures will have a bonding screw so that you can connect your ground wire. If you were using 12-2 Romex type house wiring, then the plain unsheathed copper wire would be the same as the green wire, of course black is hot and white is neutral.
I'm a newby to beardies, actually don't even have one yet. Still researching on everything I need to do for the set up before I bring it home. Does the terrarium not need to be fully covered? I see your awesome build, and the basking lamp, but it looks like the top is wide open.
