how to be a roach rancher???

ok im new to this whole roach thing , i have never even feed reptilla (reptilla the hun that is) a roach...i cant find them any where,but from what i hear its the best so i need to know how do i get started??? what do i need ,how do i do it???? i live in an apartment so i dont have a lot of room. thanks :lurk:

You are in luck cuz you came to the right place. We got some experienced "Roach Ranchers" on here. And the great part is that you don't need a lot of room.

1. Get a nice dark rubbermaid container of at least 20 gallons.
2. Figure out how you'd like to heat the container up to 85 degrees.
3. Hook up w/ one of the fine Roach Dealers on this site or thru the web and get a starter kit.

I'm a little strapped for time but you'll get a barrage of good info from the fine people here on the forums over the next 24 hours I'm sure.

now when you want good info about the care of roaches there are a lot of roach ranchers here but 2 great care sheets come to mind off the top of my head provided by 2 great upstanding forum members that also provide great service to their customers as well as to the general public concerning the care of roaches.

If you are looking into another breed of roaches such as turks and lobsters you can find some good info at http://www.feedersinc.com/ this site will give you info on many feeders as well as roaches. Jason and Chad are not the only ones that have great info but if you do a search in the feeders section you will find many if not most of the answers you seek. Many many many helpful people here ready to assist you with all your questions.

I started my colony through The Roach Guy. Best customer service I've encountered in years. When he shipped my colony he forgot to include the extra egg flats I ordered. How long did it take you to get your Roaches? I'm planning on buying a starter kit from Jason within the next month for my beardie and Rose Hair Tarantula.
