Just did this today the T5 I bought came with clips to clip in/out the only problem is 1) I need a piece of wood INSIDE my enclosure to screw it in and 2) I can put the wood on top of the mesh screen top and drill through the mesh screen causing damage to the enclosures. Plus the bars that are inside would be in the way so I would need massively long screws its fairly light so Velcro may workSome people have reported good results using industrial velcro, so that’s probably worth a try. Some of the t5 fixtures designed for grow lights have clips on the top that are designed for hanging from a wire. One of these may be useful as a relatively quick release option too.

You can use this it works great -- its like a Velcro strap cut in to strips and wrap around your fixture GE 15 ft. Cable Ties, Hook and Loop Spool, Black-10375 - The Home DepotHey guys I have a UVB bulb with its T5 Fixture and a T8 with its fixture (2 cages) I'm currently using 10 pound test fishing line which holds them in place. The line is annoying and tedious to get right I have screen top enclosures so not much will go through the mesh top. I was wondering is guerilla glue 2 way tape and/or Velcro work? I would like to pop it in and out rather than dismantling string and have to string it all up all over again. I want to make sure its safe and sturdy so it wont fall and my beardies wont get stuck to it in posting bc hopefully someone has some experience.
NOTE: The T8 will be changed to a T5 soon which is why I'm asking for advice on hanging them (T8 is 16IN T5 is 22IN
I'll have to check it out sadly the mesh top is only so big yarn wont fit but 10 lb line will also tried arts and crafts string but its to big tooYou can use picture hanging wire to easily loop through the screen mesh and twist it together to hold at the top. It's only about $5 at Home Depot or Lowe's.
You may haft to cut some of the mesh outI'll have to check it out sadly the mesh top is only so big yarn wont fit but 10 lb line will also tried arts and crafts string but its to big too
I was trying to avoid that at all cost but if I do end up doing that I might as well use wood on top and drill through the screen in to the wood and put the brackets that came with my UVB kit in it. So I could pop in/out the T5 instead of using string my only worry is the fixture falling down from the bracketYou may haft to cut some of the mesh out
If you do that your going to change the temps in the tank they will be hotter --- the stuff from Home Depot works great - it sounds like a lot of work w/ the wood thing but its up to you --I was trying to avoid that at all cost but if I do end up doing that I might as well use wood on top and drill through the screen in to the wood and put the brackets that came with my UVB kit in it. In reality the bulbs last a year so I wont be changing them as much so taking it down once a year isnt too bad give or take.If you do that your going to change the temps in the tank they will be hotter --- the stuff from Home Depot works great - it sounds like a lot of work w/ the wood thing but its up to you --
We just used small gauge wire to attach the hanging clips, just ensure the light isn’t too close to the basking spot or it will burn or blind the dragon, we actually moved our T5’s back out onto the mesh after noticing both dragons stopped using their basking spots, it’s good just to watch their behavioursHey guys I have a UVB bulb with its T5 Fixture and a T8 with its fixture (2 cages) I'm currently using 10 pound test fishing line which holds them in place. If your screen is a fine mesh like a screen door then it should stay in the tank directly above the basking decor piece 12-15 inches --- the screen will block 30% of the rays ---- for a wide hole screen it can be on top w/ the basking decor directly above basking decor 8-10 inches --- are you using a Reptisun brand bulb -- they are considered to be one of the safest regarding eye issues --- along w/ the Arcadia bulbsWe just used small gauge wire to attach the hanging clips, just ensure the light isn’t too close to the basking spot or it will burn or blind the dragon, we actually moved our T5’s back out onto the mesh after noticing both dragons stopped using their basking spots, it’s good just to watch their behaviours

Please get a piece of decor directly under the UVB 12-15 inchesWicked sorry for the late reply they are arcadia bulbs 12%
Thats the tallest I could get its 15 inches I could loosen and the string to lower it a bit like the 2nd pic I posted. I am thinking of getting a solid slab of rock to rise the basking spot or maybe this will work. Please get a piece of decor directly under the UVB 12-15 inches
