Thanks Katrina!
TwistedCrayon, I think that for the wood, you are supposed to save toothpicks as you get them, and then save floss as you use it, so that you can tie the toothpicks together for the wooden walls! LOL!
Barb, but of course, I told him that I had promised Duckie to TwistedCrayon, but we just had to hold him for a little while. I am pretty sure that Butch knew from the beginning that he would never leave here.
I'm sure that if Butch knows you like Frank knows me  ...he knew when you were bringing him home
that expecting you to re-home him would be futile. :laughing6:
I agree Jennifer the twisted one should start collecting that dental floss and tooth picks time is closing in. :laughhard:
Toothpicks! What a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? I can grab a few everytime I go out to eat. (which is about twice a month). With the nails I already got and the toothpicks I can have him in no time flat...... It will keep me on track for the 8 to 10 year goal. Woooohooo, I'm getting excited....(g)
Hi Jennifer, it's good that you have a good forever home waiting for him in the next 8-10 years, just when he'll be getting old and will need more one-on-one time. Glad Butch understood!
Itchy is always yucky, hopefully you get them out soon.
We need some more pics of everyone & 596grams is a wonderful weight gain. Isn't it lovely when you know you've been able to give a dragon the right kind of life and love and they just blossom forth! Well done!

LMAO... maybe by the time you get Duckie's viv built there will be some great new uvb's on the market.
Heck, since you are going to be making everything for his retirement home from scratch.. I bet if you were to go ahead a plant a tree sapling now, you will have a nice branch for Duckie too, LOL
Yes ladies, it sounds like TwistedCrayon has things well under control!
Dawn, LMAO at the branch for Duckie!
Deb, I posted some new pics the other day in the other thread I have for the beardies. I will post a link to it here, once I go find it! We have been doing some calendar photo shoots, but havent gotten the shots that I want yet. All my guys send hello to you and Roger and all your babies. Hope Loishi (sorry, dont remember if I spelled that right) is doing better.
I havent updated on Duckie here in a little while, I have been updating for him on viewtopic.php?f=1&t=125673
I weighed him a couple of days ago, and he is up to 605 grams, and moved into his new viv a week ago today. There are pics of his new viv in the other thread too..
edit* when I click it, it is taking me from here to the Jiffy's Beardies New Pics thread, which is where I am wanting to linking to. Not sure what is going on if it is maybe being screwy or something when you are clicking it or what. Sometimes when I click on links, it may go somewhere else, maybe that is what is happening.
Hi Jen, I've always known that Duckie had the home of his dreams with you guys. So there you go, and he gets a wonderful tank to live in; not spoiled at all I see! It's nice to know that twistedcanyon will be there to support Duckie in his old age. What more could a beardie want than female dragons to add to the tank, I mean there is a Tiki bar & a pole, so there should be some action. Teenagers, don't you love them?
Deb
I saw the wonderful pics at the other thread and you sure picked the best of the bunch for the calendar photos, I'll be looking out for your gang when they come out to be viewed. This is such a great thing that Alex does, next year I'll be better prepared.
Thanks Deb. I still want to get a stuffed animal duck for Duckie's viv. I am sure he will have a wonderful life with TwistedCrayon in another 10 years or so! lol
Itsjustme,
they dont normally try to bite. Sometimes baby beardies when they are scared may try to bite to protect themselves, but it doesnt hurt, and they dont usually stay in that stage for very long.
Adults do not normally tend to bite unless they have been previously neglected or rough handled. Duckie was either not handled at all, or they were rough with him. And for a few days he tried to bite, but now he has stopped that. He trusts me now, and knows that I wont hurt him.
