First trip outside, and a BLACK BEARD!

It was warm on Monday, so I decided to take Houdini out and about. This was his first time going outside since I brought him home as a baby. He was fine in the car, just looking around and watching trees as we went by. I stopped at my work to show my boss. We started to walk in and a woman saw him and asked to pet him and look at him... That went on for a minute, then Houdinis beard got pretty black, NEVER seen it turn black before. We later find out that it was only a teaser... We go inside and little Hou calms down and is allowing my boss to pet him and all that good stuff. I left work to take him to the park. We sat on a bench near a lake, and watched the ducks play. It got windy for a second, and you could hear the trees sway, and the ducks get real loud. Houdini'd beard turned JET BLACK and he puffed up and opened his mouth! No hissing, but everything else. I grabbed my camera phone as quickly as I could. It was so cute to see him looking "tough" with his beard, while he's on his fluffy bed. HAHA! What a thug. This went on for about 5 minutes until I calmed him down. ( he LOVES being rubbed behind hid ears/beard!) I took him home, fed him some butterworms and we called it a day. I can't wait until this summer when it's warm enough to take him outside quite a bit!

Great pics, do you have any of his normal beard color, i can tell how his beard is puffed up and in the last he has calmed down a bit, i love the way it looks, orange with a black beard, that does look mean tho

His beard is usually all white, and after his last shed it's showing a slight tint of yellow/orange to the bottom of it. In my other thread there are great pictures of his beard.

That last pic finally got my sister to say "aww"! She thinks deer are adorable but she cant see the cuteness of a beardie...go figure.
