Entamoeba infection

Anyone experienced your dragon having a moderate infection of entamoeba? My dragon is currently on 0.08 ml of metronidazole. She is to take it once per day for 7 days. We have two more days to go. Today she hissed at me and bit down on my thumb as I was rubbing the side of her mouth to get her to open. It had worked the other days but not today. My vet called me to check on her and she said my baby will forgive me in time. But for now she is really pissed off. When I put her back in her habitat she went a little crazy running around and acting like she was afraid of me. Then she cowered down in the corner. I feel horrible having to put her through this.

Hello,

A lot of them do get entamoeba infections, or
flagelletes, etc. The Metronidazole/Flagyl is a good medication, but does tend to dehydrate them some.
I'm sure that she doesn't like the taste of it though, it's somewhat bitter. She will be ok, but be sure to
keep her well hydrated while she is on the meds.
I hope she starts to feel better soon!
Are you giving some probiotics right now also?

I can order Benebac. How much and how to give? I know it is a good probiotic. I used it on my other animals. Just don't know how much to give a dragon.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
