I am in Delaware and have not heard about anything like this. I googled it but did not come with anything. I will try again tomorrow when I am more awake. I would hate to have a license. I have a water dragon and breadie right now. I love them both. I would not give them up. I really would love to rescue beardies in my area. That would put a damper on that.

I've been wanting to do the same thing in my area for a while now. I've seen some herps kept in deplorable conditions. In one case someone was keeping a Beardie and a Uromastyx in the same 250g with no UVB and not bothering to clean the enclosure or even feed them every day. Of course I couldn't get anyone to do anything about it because they were "just lizards". Unfortunately I'm in a bit of a financial crunch at the moment and all my money is going to keeping my own menagerie properly cared for. I'm not sure about licensing reptile owners but I do wish that complaints about an animal's conditions would get taken seriously. There has to be a middle ground where everyone wins.
