Compaction

A few months ago I posted here about a problem with bloody stools. It was determined to be compaction, and due to a bad brand of sand and not enough calcium-becuase one of the lights was too old and I wasn't dusting the crickets as I thought the sand was supposed to help with that.
After following some tips I got here, I managed to get the blood to stop and even saw some sand in the poop. Over time I got less responsible and sort of stopped the routine that helped... and forgot some of the things I was doing. Although I haven't seen any more blood, I think there's still some sand in there, so I'm posting again for these tips. All I remember is something about massaging and warm water.. but I remember there being so much more.

I'm sorry to hear your dragon is still passing sand/is possibly impacted.

Hope this helps. Are you still using sand in the tank then? I imagine if your dragon is still managing to ingest it, you might opt to use a solid substrate to avoid any further or future impaction.
