Deb, I will be checking in after I get off work tonight to see how things went with your mom and Eric. Sounds like your mom might just straighten them out. :headbang:
Thank you Gina!
I promised that I wouldn't be gone long this time.
Now if I could only find my camera cord.
I'd really love to post a video of Gus. He's such a character. If I do not feed him in time or if he is still hungry he finds his way to the cat food dish and treats himself. Funny is that out of all my beardies he has the cleanest teeth. It's gotta be the cat food.
Everyone is doing fine though they are all acting as if brumation will come early this year.
I hope not!
I get home at 9:30 every night, so after that you'll see a post after I talk to my mom.
Leo has been hiding in his hide for the last 5 days, but I get him out every morning to warm him up, so I think it's hitting here, too, which is WAY too early. So I'm not sure if I should just leave him be, but he needs to do one last poop before I'll let him hide, 'cause he doesn't sleep, he just hides  silly beardie!
The others are all slowing down, even Didi isn't frantically trying to get out of his tank (he sleeps in his own tank at night now, even though he's on the ramp during the day when I'm at work). He's just sitting on his rock with a regular beardie, which is not usual for his morning reaction. Time to put Lonzo and Rubio in the sunshine. See you later!

Sorry, Barbara, I'm afraid it might come earlier this year than last. Rosie slept for two whole days in a row (including the nights before and after said days) in the last part of JULY! I thought she started early last year when she started about this time of year. She had her eyes opened this morning and I got her up but she still seems a bit sleepy. She did eat a lot yesterday according to my husband as I was staying in town Monday night and Tuesday night with a friend because we didn't have $ for gas this week and didn't get home until last night after 7pm. Gas is getting way to expensive and even tho the news says it's going down (I heard that three different weeks lately, two in a row) yet our local gas stations haven't dropped even one cent yet.
Now that I would love to see. Do I remember right? Gus is Princess Squirticuss's father?
Yes Lori, Gus is Lil' Squirt's daddy.

Actually it feels early, but to be truthfully honest my crew are actually right on time now that I think about it.
Boy, do I understand the price of gas. I live 5 miles from the closest bus stop an I have been taking the bus most days to work just because it is cheaper than gas. Sucks to spend an extra 3+ hours away from
my zoo each day I have to work and ride the bus.
Oh, Deb, I am so glad to read your update about being able to visit Leo on Monday.
I don't have the option of taking a bus to work. I would have to drive/walk about 10 to 15 miles just to get to where a bus stop is and that would be closer to my work then the bus stop is to my home. Also, from the cost of riding a bus locally, it costs more than just taking your vehicle, including the extra time spent away from home.
Lori it's 5+ miles just to the bus stop for me too.
Bad news...
I just got home from the hospital. Frank had a stroke this morning. He said he felt fine other than his speech was/is impaired. Stubborn guy wouldn't let me call an ambulance so they could not give him the shot that reverses the affects since the tests didn't come back until after that window.
Hope and pray that his speech comes back soon.
Gosh, Barbara, I'm sorry to hear that. Strokes can be long term recovery, unless it wasn't that bad of a stroke, which we all hope and pray that is the case.
I'm so sorry to hear about Frank, here's praying his speech comes back. Don't know why they're so darned stubborn, but what can you do? Tell him Deb sends her love and lots of hugs, too. Keep us updated, k?
Love & hugs to you, too, lady
Deb
