Because possibly we like bearded dragons????? Duh!...myself I'd not own an Iguana however I have 11 resident beardies and 4 hold backs from last year. I have small grandchildren the size and claws on an Iguana I'd personally not trust around my 2 y/o grandson.Wishbone1234":9fpff7en said:ok first of all dont go on my typing i like to make typin simple so if u got a prob with that shut the ***** up second, iguanas are not aggressive they only agressive if we teach them to. it cost more to breed bearded dragons so y not put time in for iguanas to. And u rite im definitly dont wanna buy one im just sayin why have a price of a lizard so high.

I am glad to think you would be researching before buying an Iguana or a bearded dragon, but come on. People pay thousands of dollars for a purebred dog. I don't hear you ragging on them. It is called capitalism and a free market society. It is also called return on investment. Any one who willingly starts a business and puts in time, effort, and money on growing their business DESERVES to make a profit off of their investment. I really cringed over the $60 I paid for mine, but now that I have experienced one I would gladly pay 3 or 4 times that for one from a good breeder that I could be relativly sure it would be healthy and not inbred like crazy.
Further more, we do not really know each other on this board. Sure we post comments back and forth and you can bet that some people on here have a lot more knowledge than others, but that shows in the context of their posts. I am going to assume you are young and the style of typing is closer to texting than just short cuts. Keep in mind that you are not texting us and the only way for us to gain any understanding of who you are is from your posts. When you use texting in the way it doesn't make a good impression. Many of us just don't have the patience to decode exactly what you are saying. I text all the time so understand you, but just a word of advise, texting wont get you far when it comes time to go to work. Speaking as an employer myself, if someone came to me applying for a job and wrote that way on their application I would not hire them for fear that they did not know how to be professional when they communicated between my company and my customers. Also, being hostile towards people that you were inviting comment is not a smart thing either especially if you ever do get a bearded drangon and need help. Good luck and I do hope you find what you are looking for. I personally have really loved having my beardie even with the cost involved and this is a great group of people on here.
