Blood? Odd redbrown smudge... Also breathing problem?

A couple days ago i noticed Nef's stomach shed had a circular brownish spot on it about an inch in diameter (most of his width). Upon further investigation I found a patch of something the same colour faintly smudged in the corner of the viv and found that he still had some of it around the top underside of his thighs. I gave him a good long bath (the first one he's actually seemed to enjoy, he was quite playful as opposed to his usual anger and panic) and lightly poked around his belly, legs and lower body and he doesn't seem to be in any pain. It looks like it may have been blood but he seems perfectly fine. He's had a near vegetarian diet for almost a week due to a delayed worm shipment (and he won't eat anything they sell in town, his picky) but I gave him a couple freshly shed supers that I'm trying to breed. He bites them clear in half before he eats them and it doesn't seem like he's had any problems with his stool, this smudge was in a completely different spot from where he was pooping. I have noticed that his stools are more dry than usual, does anyone have any idea as to what may have happened?. I was wondering if it may be a female type issue but I'm pretty sure he's a male, big pores, no other signs yet maybe because he's very small for his age, I got him Jan 26th the pet store said he was at least 6-7 months old at the time and was about 4.5" long he is now 11" but still no giant by any means of measurement.

Also on another topic is it common for them to make heavy breathing / popping noises when in the water? When i first got him he was making the popping noise all the time and suspecting a RI I went to the vent and got some antibiotics and he stopped doing it on a regular basis, but still sometimes he will make these noises in the water. Could he just be regulating his beardie flotation device or do you think he may still have some sort of respiratory problem?

Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

the ri i dont know much about.
but dry stools could be one of 2 things
1: he could have some sort of parasite in which you sould get a fecal done at the vets. any vet can do this.
2: and this is what i think it may be. he might be a bit dehydrated, how hot does it get in ur tank? basking should be around 100-105 and cool side 80

does he have any probs having a crap??

what kind of veggies are you feeding him
and what kind of lights are you using? try to be specific, the brand and wattage should be stamped on the bulbs.

Sorry to hear that u are having some problems with your beardie:(

If u could please answer the folowing questions, it may help us identify any issues.

How old is your beardie?
How long have u had him/her for?
What size enclosure?
What kind of substrate?
What kind of UVB light do u provide?
Is the UVB a long tube or a coil? Please tell us the make & brand as it is very important.
What are u currently feeding?
Do u offer suppliments such as viatmins & calcium? If so, which kind & how often?
What is the basking spot temp?
What are u using to measure the temps with? a stick on, a digital with probe or a temp gun?

Sorry to ask so many questions...just trying to help.

Go to the vet and see what they say. They might know how to handle it or they won't and they might just derect you to a specialist.

sorry your beardie is sick. :(
We all understand how your feeling.

I don't know if I understand. Did the spot wash off? Because if it didn't it sounds a little like a burn I have seen on a beardie....Do you use a heat rock or heating pad?

Ha, I'm not worried about the questions, I know some people get overly defensive about it though.

How old is your beardie? Guessing close to a year, but you wouldn't think it from looking at him.

How long have u had him/her for? Since jan 24th of this year

What size enclosure? 3' x 2' x 3.5' high

What kind of substrate? Rough ceramic Tile

What kind of UVB light do u provide?
Is the UVB a long tube or a coil? Please tell us the make & brand as it is very important. ReptiSun 10.0 Tube angled so that one side is 5" away from the basking spot and gets gradually further away towards the cool side to where it's about 12" away from his tree, I'll straighten it out eventually...

What are u currently feeding? Well Ideally phoenix worms (because that's all he'll eat) but I'm waiting on an order so he's stuck with salad, which is unfortunate because he really needs the protein, you can really tell the difference in growth when he's been eating a lot. This weeks salad consists of Endive, Bok Choy, Cucumber, and Nectarines though he doesn't seem to like the nectarines. I feed him once before work then again after work.

Do u offer suppliments such as viatmins & calcium? If so, which kind & how often? Calcium 5 times a week, Multi Vitamin 2 times a week. He loves the calcium, he licks the bowl clean...

What is the basking spot temp? 100º - 110º Basking 80º - 85º Cool side

What are u using to measure the temps with? a stick on, a digital with probe or a temp gun? 2 Digital Probes

It's not a burn I'm not using a heat rock or pad. It's literally smudged on the floor of the viv, and what was on him came off with his shed.

I was considering dehydration but he's had the same temps he's had since I got him and he's bathed every 2-3 days (usually 3 because he doesn't like baths and i don't want to stress him too much), he seems to prefer about a 103º basking temp on his rock but if its hotter than that he basks in the corner of the hot side.

I was thinking maybe some sort of parasite as well, but he isn't showing any other symptoms, I think they're usually lethargic. I should probably do a stool sample, but I don't know when I'll have time I'm working about 75 hours a week right now and I'm never around when he poops and you're much better off with a fresh sample. In fact I've only actually seen him go in front of me twice (neither recent), he likes his privacy. I think your other questions were answered earlier in my post.

I'm not completely convinced he's sick because I don't know what caused the stain/smudge and he's acting just as healthy, if not more so, than usual. There's no sign of pain and he is active, but not hyperactive. He's been climbing more often than usual and still likes to randomly sprint away from me at lightning speed from time to time for no apparent reason. And he's eating whatever I put in front of him, which as I said before is unfortunately just dusted veggies right now.

Lol! My thoughts exactly! Hmm. I would try to take a poo sample & drop it off for testing if possible, just to be on the safe side. Maybe call the vet & see how fresh it actually needs to be. It may be ok if it's only a few hours old. I had Drago's tested before & the vet told me that if he poo's before u can drop it off right away, that u can store it in the fridge.

Is there any way you could post a pic of what was on him?
I took a couple pics of the spot on his viv floor, but threw out the shed. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the cable for my digital camera, I just got back from school and I swear I saw it when I was unpacking but it seems to have disappeared since then, I'll post a pic when I find it.

Also, after another bath paying closer attention I think he was just making sounds when regulating his buoyancy.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
