Black beard??

Our bearded went full black beard with black spots going down his neck. We have never seen him do this before! He was just in his cage in a room where no one else was. My son took him out and now he is walking around just fine. His beard is back to normal color. Is this something to worry about or just something they do?

This time of year it's probably just hormones. But is there anything he could have see say from a window that could have spooked him?

He changed back pretty fast, we had just not seen that before. He was 1 year in October. We have had him since January 2020. Yes, I think he is fine, we were just surprised by it.
