Jess, this is PERFECT! I knew I saw this somewhere!! Having everything marked...what goes where, what the cold side is, etc. Just perfect.
Aw, good for you. Mine was a spur of the moment thing too. Well the first one was...Craig's List. We got the second one from a breeder. I knew by the posts I read that were yours, you knew ALOT and you are in this for the right reason.
I read through your info, Jess, it was spot on & great to have. I'm glad you're the one working at the pet shop, as then everyone gets the right into. My hubby used to work as a reptile keeper, he had care sheets for all the critters, but when he was laid off, they put everything back the way it was before he worked there & the animals suffered as a result. He was annoyed as heck, but not much he could do!
I'm glad there are good people in shops, too, Jess, that give the right info. It's amazing how well dragons do with the right lights, etc. so having a spot with basic info would be a good idea. I'm always answering questions ***AND THERE ARE NO DUMB QUESTIONS, PEOPLE!!!!***** when it comes to dragons, they are complicated animals and need the best care. Having taken care of rescues, fosters and babies for 6 years, I have a wealth of info I've picked up from the experienced people on this site. So I feel honoured when I can pass along the info to make another beardie feel more comfortable.
Hello again my dears!
I haven't read through all of the thread yet, so I'm super sorry if someone said this already! But I wanted to post before I forgot
What about including a short list of normal beardie behaviors/markings that might freak out new owners, like gaping and eye bulging? And maybe femoral pores. (The first time I saw Brick's femoral pores I thought something was wrong, til I researched and learned that they're supposed to be there lol )

Yes, that was one of the things I was thinking. From everything to what a basking spot is to feeding to...well, you get the point. EVERYTHING!! Almost like a beardie dictionary kind of thing...
