I do! it helps him get my secent and he comes and sits on my chest and shoulders now. I took a plush pillow and a shirt annd cover him up at night. He loves it! :notworthy:
I.made one about to weeks ago for mine. He is only 6 inches and is perfect. I took the top of one of those small christmss box lids and a tshirt of mine. I hot glued the shirt at the bottom. I took popcycle sticks and glued three together for all four sides and then glued the box on top. I made a headboard and footboard from the sticks also. I took some soft material I had and folded and made a pillow closing it w hotglue too. Then I just cut a piece to cover him. At night when the lights go out I just put him in and cover him. He is still there in the mrn. On new years eve he climbed n it himself and tucked his head under a piece of the blanket that was flipped. I was soooo excited cause that confirmed he loves it lol. I did feel guilty for not being home to tuck him in.
I'm looking into making my own bed for Hermes. I just looked up and realized that k-cup boxes would make a great cave/bed. My plan is to cut/adjust the cardboard a little, but use the same general idea and sew/hot glue a "mattress" into the bottom and along the back because Hermes loves to sleep vertical and then just sew a small quilt-blanket for him. I'm still bouncing the idea around in my head, I'll try to take pictures as I go if it works out.
^ I did the same thing, except I knit, so just watch to see how much your yarn "sheds" I had to stop using mine because the little fibers looked like they were poking him in the eyes. If you're using Red Heart Sport or something like that, you'll be perfectly fine.
It looks great!!!! I can crochet, but only in circles, whenever I try to crochet square it winds up looking like a trapazoid If I said it would be a good time for me to stick to my knitting, would the pun be too much to handle?
I made my beardie a bed! At the fabric store you can get fabric glue.
I just took some fabric, cut it into two identical pieces and stuffed fabric inside (extra comfy) before I carefully glued the edges and put books on each edge and let it sit over night!
That's it!
I have no sewing skills either
