A 50 watt bulb actually seems like quite a bit for a 10 gallon tank. You could probably get away with a 40 watt household bulb. Do you have a 20 gallon tank on hand? How small is this beardie?
let me ask u think i have 2 other beardies that r healthy i have 40 gallons baskin should be? and cool side should be ? make sure i dont have them wrong
Yes, you can use standard household light bulbs, they should be bright white ones though, not tinted pink. White bulbs give off UVA, beardies need UVA AND UVB. So, since you have the Repti-Sun tube, that is a good bulb so no worries with using a household bulb for the heat bulb.
The temps of the 40 gallon tanks depends on the ages of the beardies that are in them. Babies need higher temps than adults, so once I find out the ages, I can help further with that.
the was a couple months i think when i got the and i have only had them a coulpe weeks they r getting so big :} about 5 to 6 in long from nose to tip of tail
ok then they r right easyer to do in bigger tanks.... aslo have u heard about a light called sun glow i think is wat it is called the guy at pet smart said it was new and it was good he said it take the place of all lights u will need ?
