So i recently got a new female beardie. shes in a seperate tank on the oppisite side of the room. My male has seen her and knows shes there but gets very agressive when he sees her. they can see eachother from where their cages are but they have a good 15ft inbetween them. My male has been very cranky since i brought home the female. he black beards and puff at me and my friend alot more but isnt aggresive to us. he also just randomly arm waves. i think he dose it to his reflection but im not sure.
is it because he can see her or what. i really have no idea what hes trying to do.
Male is displaying for the female. It's sounds perfectly normal, what he's doing.
The arm waving not so much. It's a more submissive gesture. Head bobbing and black bearding are the "manly" gestures.
Arm waving is just a way to say: Hey I'm a bearded dragon. Adult females and juveniles sometimes use it to show they are submissive.
Not a problem, and your dragon probably isn't attracted to you. 8)
