A change in color..

Ok so since we brought home Sonic and Shadow on Saturday, Shadow has shed his skin. And Sonic is changing colors.

She was a dull color of greyish/brown. She has started turning a yellowish color. I noticed it under her beard. Is this a sign of something

Hi,

Are they sort of spots, or an overall colour? Spots could indicate yellow fungus, but it could be a simple case of wherever you bought him from having the wrong sort of UVB so having the correct UVB could have brought his colours out.

Could you post a before and after picture?

Also what type of UVB are you using?

No spots.. Her entire beard underside is yellowing.. well most all of her whiter parts were changing to a yellow color.. I will post a picture when I can...

Ok, yep, get the pictures up when you can, it may just be her colouring, i have one who goes from white to yellow on his under belly and beard.

Yup, that's just her colouring, pretty little thing :love10:

you can see in this picture of Fidget that he's got some on his chest, he gets it on his beard as well sometimes, i personally think it's when they're warm and happy :love5:

No problem, Fidget also developed his colour after a few days, i think it is to do with the quality of the UVB as well.
