retained shed at the base of the tail in hatchling.

The retained skins came loose today! I hadnt yet done anything and It just became a big flap that I'm sure will fall eventually. So good news there and one less problem...

damp looking patch at the base of the tail + dry, gray tip

Uldate: the damp patch looks drier today, the skin looks less translucent there. I keep applying my crean and It looks like It might be working... Fingers crossed! It's bad enough that the poor wee guy will have his tail cut.

retained shed at the base of the tail in hatchling.

Oh dear. Ok, I'll keep giving him his daily baths, which he seems to enjoy, and I'll get some raw honey to try and loosen It. I'm aftaid I'm going to try and very gently scrape It with my fingernails (which are fairly short) afterwards, using a magnifying lens to make sure I'm not hurting him...

damp looking patch at the base of the tail + dry, gray tip

The others are fine so far. What can cause the tail rot? And the fungus? I'll try to take a better picture. But Ive applied an antibiótic/antifungus crean and It seems to be doing something. I have not yet found a decent vet in the área but I haven't yet lost hope. I'm near Barcelona so there...

How to ship a baby dragon?

"Spain is a tiny country", YTes, if you are in the US, of course Spain looks tiny, and (I am Southamerican myself) us people on the other side of the pond think nothing of driving 500km to do whatever. But most Spaniards think 500 km is a lot and would not drive so far to collect a...

retained shed at the base of the tail in hatchling.

Hi again, It's me again with another question regarding another of my hatchlings. One of them has gone through its first tail shed but there's a bit still stuck at the base. It looks tight and I have done all I can to loosen it but with little success. He has daily warm baths, a gentle massage...

damp looking patch at the base of the tail + dry, gray tip

Hi, This week I noticed that one of my hatchlings has developed a yellowish-brown, damp-looking patch at the base of the tail, plus the tip looks gray and withered. I don't know exactly when this started, but it cannot be more than 4-5 days, as I handle them every day and feed them one by one...

Will a baby with a twisted tail survive?

So here's my little one, still growing and getting strong, although he's clearly smller and weaker than the rest, he's also very stubborn and doesn't let anything or anyone stand in his way. He's our favourite!

Will a baby with a twisted tail survive?

thanks for all the encouragement, he's doing quite well. He eats (crickets) better than other, apparently perfect little dragons, and despite his tendency to fall on his back, he has learned to turn himself over rather quickly -but when he's tired, he just lies there with his hands on his belly...

How to ship a baby dragon?

Yes, the stopoever thing is a bit odd, I think it's where the van that picks your box up meets the van that will actually take it to destination, along with maybe other beasties that go in the same general direction, to make the trip worthwhile for them. Thanks for all the information!
