    Vomiting or respiratory infection

Thanks for your response - yeah, the only thing about the picture is how much bigger under his beard was - it's gone down since. Yesterday afternoon he started vomiting mucus (!!??), so I called up the vet again and then went in. The vet things it was a stomach upset rather than a respiratory...

    Vomiting or respiratory infection

Hi everyone - any help and advice you can give is greatly appreciated. I'll lead by saying I'm taking Forks to the vet in about 5 hours, and couldn't get him in sooner. This morning I was home from work (sick myself) and heard noises coming from my dragons tank. My dragon is making (terrifying)...

Thanks for your response! I'll definitely look at Repashi stuff, have looked at it before but wasn't sure he'd eat it as it doesn't wriggle.. Worth a shot! BSFL are actually pretty common now, but he won't touch them, dammit. I'll keep trying. RE: silkworms and the like - the reason we have...

Forkes still isn't eating, but I'm going to assume that at this stage, no one else has any ideas what to do. We'll keep taking care of him the best we can, and I'll post here is anything changes.

No roaches in NZ unfortunately - did you mean the Black Soldier Fly Larvae? We do put stuff on his nose, but some times he 'freaks out' jump, runs away, rubs his face on the paper towel to get it off... He clearly hates it, and we don't want to stress him out any more than he is at the moment...

Insects in NZ are pretty limited - we have locusts and BSL which are the best options I think, plus mealworms, waxmoth larvae, fruitflies. We also have crickets, but NZ crickets are vicious and not recommended. The locusts we tried to feed him seemed to scare him, but he went for a few of...

Update: he ate a few worms yesterday, but no luck otherwise. If anyone has any ideas or questions, please let me know!

AHBD: Thanks! I did think he's too small to brumate, but does that mean he won't try? Vet is reassuring me he's fine and it'll be no problem now he's parasite free... But can you stop him from brumation? Thanks kingofnobbys! That sounds super promising. I'll pm you if I don't hear today.

It's a 40 gallon pretty sure. Update: Changed out the bulbs and it's a bit cooler in there now, he's been basking today. Still won't eat normally though. We drip fed him (he licked it off his nose) a smoothie of bugs+squash+soyyoghurt today as it had been a few days since he'd eaten anything at...

Sorry I was unclear - I have one mounted (stick on) thermo. and two probe based ones. Thanks for checking in though! Anything else you could see that needs fixing?

Thanks :) I'll buy a couple of new basking bulbs and try switching them out tonight. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Hi everyone. I've had my bearded dragon for about 2 months, and I'm a first time beardie owner. I'm a long time lurker here, and was actively looking for a hatchling in New Zealand (where I live) for about a year and a half prior, but we have a bit of a drought. I saw my beardie for sale, and...
